From the geothermal fields we drove a short distance to the coast where we walked - gingerly- across a lava field to view the hundreds of Gannets nesting on the high rocks. It is believed that the last two Auks resided here. Now extinct, this sculpture is a tribute to the Auk.
After exploring a bit of the city, and shopping - of course - it was time for Iceland Fish and Chips. Delicious!
One last cuppa and it was time for sleep.
By the way, sunrise is at 4:30 am and sunset is at 10:30 pm. Lots of daylight!

What a glorious day
