Day 3 continued

We departed Reyjkavic after breakfast and headed east to the Geysir Hot Springs area. Five minutes after we walked up to Strokkur Geysir it blew. It's the most regular and reliable geysir in the field.

A short walk through some woods that were intentionally planted in the area. Iceland pretty much doesn't have trees.

Lupine abound.

Then on to Gulfoss Falls, an amazing two-tier waterfall.

From there we drove southeast to Klaustur where we will stay the next two nights.

Along the way, Seljandsfoss. Impressive!

The drive was filled with images of glaciers, volcanos, beach and ocean, sheep and horses. Almost impossible to describe.
